There are several different ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. There are so many movies to go see, places to visit, and lots of other things to do. One very common way to celebrate is to go out and do something, but it can be very hard to choose what to do when going out. Because of the variety of things to do, it can be hard to pick just one. Below are some ideas to help pick out a Valentine’s Day activity.
Dinner
Going out to dinner is a very common way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Many restaurants even often have deals for couples or discounts on Valentine’s day. Sometimes they even offer special menu items. It doesn’t have to be a fancy dinner; there are many types of restaurants that offer the things listed above. Even Dairy Queen currently has their Red Velvet Blizzard featured as a Valentine’s menu item.
Museum
There are various kinds of museums to go to: art museums, history museums, there’s even a Dinosaur museum in Keene. Museums are not as common of a date as going out to dinner, but are still a fun and cute date idea. Other than the Dinosaur museum, there’s the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth, the Layland Museum of History in Cleburne, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas.
Paint Your Own Pottery
Pottery is a fun way to get to know someone on a date. It’s not a very popular choice when it comes to picking out date activities, but it can be super fun. There are so many things to do with pottery and watching the way someone gets creative can make a good bonding experience. Just in the DFW area there is the Art Barn Studio in Burleson, Creative Hands in Pantego, and CERA Pottery Studio in Fort Worth.
Park Date
Going on a walk around a playground park or camping or in a national park can be a fun experience. Going outside to see the trees and greenery can be relaxing and fun to do with someone. It’s a very engaging and refreshing way to talk to a person and get to know them on a deeper level. There are public parks all over the place in the area, including Joshua park.
Planetarium
Sitting under the stars and looking at planets while not having to worry about the things that happen outside at night sounds like a dream. Doing that with another person can be a fun way to enjoy looking at the sky. Some planetariums in the area are the Noble Planetarium in Fort Worth and the UTA Planetarium in Arlington.
Doing something with someone for Valentines day doesn’t have to be difficult. While these ideas are good, it all comes down to what that person likes and what they enjoy; dates should be fun and enjoyable for both parties.
