Arguably one of the most well-dressed teachers around, AP Teacher Angela Nichols, never disappoints with her fashionable, classic, professional and artsy outfits. Every single day, she wears something to show off her impeccable taste. Whether it be a nice pantsuit, some leather pants paired with a nice blouse or a lovely dress, she shows up to work ready for the day, while feeling and looking amazing.
There are two different reasons behind her choice of attire. Firstly, she also works as a real estate agent; it is no surprise that she likes to look professional. The second is much more innocent and sweet.: her students.
“I want to show my respect for my work and my students,” Nichols said. “I make [an] effort for my students.”
Nichols is a fan of the classics. She’s a fan of icons like Audrey Hepburn and Jacki Kennedy. Movies like “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” also play a huge role in her fashion choices.
“When I first saw Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I was mesmerized by her style,” Nichols said.
A big part of the fashion world is not only piecing together outfits, but also looking at patterns, textures, styles, etc. Nichols is a fan of the softer feels of her clothes.
“I love silk and cotton,” Nichols said.
Usually, teachers wear comfortable outfits such as jeans and a spirit shirt. Nichols, however, has brought back the stereotypical television-teacher attire and she has done it both flawlessly and fashionably.
“I like business casual,” Nichols said. “Slacks, jackets, [and] pencil skirts.”
In the fashion world, everybody has their own takes and opinions, Nichols is no different. Working as a teacher, she’s seen every different fad/trend that we’ve had to offer.
“[I] hate when everybody wears the same style and the same things,” Nichols said.
With prices rising, everything, and I mean everything, is getting more and more expensive.
“I set a limit. It used to be $40,” Nichols said. “ Due to inflation, I had to set it at $80.”
While she is known for being one of the most well-dressed teachers, not everybody sees their own strengths. Nichols is known for her style, but she doesn’t always see it that way.
“I can often make terrible choices,” Nichols said. “I also do not shop very often, so I do not know what is really in.”
Nichols has a special gift: to find the cutest clothes at the most affordable places. These are places that a lot of people probably don’t always think about when shopping.
“Ann Taylor, Loft, White House Black Market and Dillard’s. Occasionally Talbot’s,” Nichols said.
As a teacher, Nichols has been here longer than some. She has seen the different styles that teachers try and achieve. Of course, this creates opinions.
“I cannot tell people what to wear,” Nichols said. “I come to work, therefore, I have to look the part.”
