New Year comes annually. People participate in different activities all around the world. In every continent, country and for the United States there are even more specific family traditions. Texas is no exception to this “rule.”
A Texan New Year consists of food. In every household there is a different assortment of “goodies” that the family and friends may choose from. For those who may not have anything planned for New Year there is still a way. Cities all around Texas offer multiple types of events for this time of year. Although a somewhat of a drive, Dallas offers several different places to go. One event is in a different situation than the rest. It’s located out at sea right off the southern coast of Texas in the Gulf of Mexico, on South Padre Island. The island is known for having one of the largest fireworks displays in the state of Texas. Someone could watch the fireworks go off while swimming with the whole family.
